Garage Floor Epoxy · Raleigh, NC
The last garage floor you'll ever install.
Most garage coatings fail at the bond line — usually within two years, usually under a hot tire. Ours don't, because we prep like the manufacturer requires: diamond grinding, moisture testing, and a polyaspartic topcoat rated for exactly this job.

Why Floors Fail
It's never the epoxy. It's always the prep.
Every peeled garage floor we’re called to fix has the same story: a roll-on kit or a low bid, applied over acid-etched or barely-cleaned concrete. The coating never bonded into the slab — it just sat on top, waiting for a hot tire or a damp summer to lift it.
We diamond-grind every slab with dust-extracted planetary grinders. Grinding removes the weak, contaminated surface layer and opens the concrete’s pores so the base coat soaks in and locks mechanically. It’s slower and costs us more than etching. It’s also the entire reason we can put a 15-year adhesion warranty in writing.
North Carolina adds one more wrinkle: slab moisture. Triangle humidity plus older slabs without vapor barriers means we moisture-test before quoting — and install an epoxy vapor barrier when the reading calls for it, so your floor never bubbles from below.
What’s in our standard garage system
- Diamond grinding to CSP-2/3 profile, with HEPA dust extraction
- Crack chasing + rigid polyurea repair, sanded flush
- Moisture-vapor barrier coat when slab readings require it
- 100%-solids pigmented base coat, rolled into open pores
- Full-broadcast vinyl flake — your pick of 20+ blends
- UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat with anti-slip texture
- 4" flake-coated cove at the walls for a finished edge (optional)
Typical 2-car garage: $2,400–$3,800, quoted exactly after we see the slab.
See the Difference
Same slab. One day later.
Drag the handle. This is a typical Wake County garage — 20 years of stains, pitting, and dusting concrete, transformed in a single visit.
Living With It
What changes after coating day
No more concrete dust
Bare concrete sheds fine dust forever — it's why your garage shelves are always gritty. A sealed floor ends it the day it cures.
Everything wipes up
Oil, brake fluid, road salt, fertilizer, paint — nothing soaks in. A paper towel today or a mop on Saturday handles all of it.
Brighter workspace
A light flake floor with a gloss topcoat reflects meaningfully more light than gray concrete. Same bulbs, noticeably brighter garage.
Comfortable year-round
The coating is warmer underfoot than bare slab in January and won't sweat and puddle like smooth concrete in an NC August.
Hides the history
Full-broadcast flake conceals patched cracks, old stains, and slab imperfections completely — and hides future scuffs the same way.
Real resale value
A warrantied, finished garage photographs like living space. Agents in our market tell us it's one of the few upgrades buyers mention unprompted.
How We Install
One day on site. Fifteen years of not thinking about it.
Every floor gets the same five steps. There are no shortcuts in this list, because every shortcut becomes a callback.
Slab inspection & exact quote
We measure, take a moisture reading, and check for cracks, spalls, and old coatings. You get a line-item price on the spot — the number never changes after the fact.
Diamond grinding — never acid etch
Industrial planetary grinders open the concrete to a CSP-2/3 profile with dust extraction. This is the step cheap installers skip, and it's why their floors peel.
Repair & moisture control
Cracks are chased and filled with rigid polyurea; pits are patched flush. If the slab reads wet, we install an epoxy vapor barrier so moisture never lifts your floor.
Base coat & broadcast
A pigmented base coat is rolled into the open pores, then flake or metallic pigment is applied. Full broadcast, wall to wall — no thin spots, no bare patches.
Polyaspartic topcoat
A UV-stable, chemical-resistant clear coat locks everything in. Walk on it tonight, park on it in 24–48 hours, and stop thinking about your floor for 15 years.
12 months, same as cash.
Most two-car garages finance for about the price of a streaming bundle. Checking your rate takes five minutes and doesn’t touch your credit score.
Garage FAQ
Common garage coating questions
How much does garage floor epoxy cost in Raleigh?
Most two-car garages in the Raleigh area run $2,400–$3,800 for a full-flake system with a polyaspartic topcoat. The spread depends on the condition of your concrete — cracks, previous coatings that need grinding off, and moisture issues add prep time. Metallic floors start around $3,900 because the pour is slower and the material costs more. We give exact, line-item quotes after seeing the slab, and the number we quote is the number you pay.
Will the coating peel when I park hot tires on it?
Not with proper prep and the right topcoat. Hot-tire pickup happens when a coating sits on top of concrete instead of bonding into it — usually from acid etching or skipping prep entirely. We diamond-grind every slab to open the pores, then use a polyaspartic topcoat that stays stable well past tire temperatures. It's the single most common failure we're called to fix on floors other companies installed, and it's why our warranty specifically covers adhesion.
How long does installation take, and when can I park on it?
A standard garage is one day on site. Polyaspartic cures fast: you can walk on the floor the same evening and park on it in 24–48 hours depending on humidity. Traditional epoxy-only systems need 3–5 days before vehicle traffic, which is one reason we use polyaspartic topcoats on nearly every residential job.
Do I need to empty the garage before you arrive?
Yes — the floor needs to be completely clear, including shelving that sits on the slab. Wall-mounted storage can stay. Most customers stage everything in the driveway under a tarp for the day; because polyaspartic cures overnight, you can move everything back in about 24 hours. If you need help moving heavy items, tell us when you book and we'll plan for it.
